A patchwork of widescreen synth-noir, golden hi-hats and deep red funk sound waves presented in liquid audio-scope,'Hot Yoga Emoji', will be released to the underground...and the overground via Society Records.

In the network of little mesters workshops on John St in Sheffield the three lovers meet. One born and bred, one Liverpudlian and a third from The Forest Of Dean. They engineer, produce and play on each others projects, before teaming up as Speed For Lovers in 2010. The next eight years are spent wearing out rave trainers, building studios in their attics and sheds, faffing with tech and poring over Sound on Sound articles.

With two members who came and stayed and one who couldn’t leave, ‘Hot Yoga Emoji’ is the bands ode to Sheffield. Field recordings of late nights out and early stumblings home link tracks together and place their moments of creation in the city.

Spurred on by Sheffield’s Kabal nights and trips to The Electric Chair in Mcr ‘Hot Yoga Emoji’ mixes live drums and bass guitar with pocket sound generators, old synths and vocals to create an album of live dance music for the light and for the night.
